Need phone recommendations

I have TMobile I currently have the one plus 7 pro.
Beautiful phone decent camera and charges fast. But I have some issues.
1. Voice to text is so delayed and never gets words right I had the same issue with the 6t.
2. Battery life is average.....at best.
3. Possibly the most annoying issue is the screen doesn't go dark when your on the phone it does but then it'll come back on and your face is pressing button's. It is a major issues. It doesn't have the sensor to see your face up by the screen it relies on being held in an exact position which appears to be atleast in my case a very flawed design. I feel like one plus is trying so hard to be cutting edge and cool that they losing functionality.
4. Curved screen screen protectors do not work well.

This being said I'm on the jump on demand program and I'm considering turning it in for something else. What would you guys recommend.
I like to have a good 📷 nice screen and good battery life. The phone needs to be highly functional and consistent. If I cant do day to day tasks like voice to text or a phone call with ease I have no use for it. I look forward to all the recommendations.

So much depends on you--what you're willing to spend, how long you're planning on keeping it, what specific features you're looking for, which features you're indifferent to, etc.

I assume that you're going to stay with T-Mobile, but if you can fill us in a bit on the other stuff, that would help.

Probably would like to stay under $800 honestly if I found a phone that was really good I'd keep it a year or so. I've had a couple of phones that were great throughout my life that I kept for 2 years because they worked very well.

i would look into the samsung galaxy s9 or s10.....but i'm a samsung guy. i would just go into t-mobile and play around with the phones they have out on display.

I never cared for the touch wiz and bigbsy so I've stayed away from Samsung for sometime. However I may check them out. Are the LG phones or pixel phones worth a look?

My Pixel works fine (2 years old, 2 major OS updates so far). Camera algorithms are generally regarded as the best in the business and you get less bloat than many manufacturers. No expandable storage so make sure you buy a model with sufficient space for your needs.

Spec heads will moan that they don't have 20GB of RAM or some such, but if the OS isn't bloated or misconfigured you don't actually need that. As for other stuff, think about what matters to you: remember that what one person regards as "essential", "useful" or "cool" is what someone else will regard as "bloat" or "gimmicks".

LG G8 and LG V50 are in your price range. Might want to check those out.

Those are budget phones for LG not flagships.

You certainly won't get that for "under $800", the iPhone 11 starts at $999 unlocked SIM-free.
