When I'm watching something on YouTube or facebook or any other app my phone suddenly goes to the main screen. I don't press anything but even when I'm on Google maps it does this.
I don't understand why. My google maps ends up minimizing on its own. Or the Spen options will appear when my Spen is still inside the phone.
I don't understand why this happens.
If anyone could help me understand why this happens or what I can do to fix it, that would be great.Thank you!

Welcome to Android Forums, MissY27! :)

Did this problem just start recently, or has it always been like this?
I noticed it happening for a few months now. When I watch short clips on fb or YouTube. Or if I'm listening music on spotify. It wasn't like this when I first got my phone. Now it just suddenly goes back to home screen and I have no idea why. I'll be playing a game and bam it's gone.

have you rebooted your phone? if so and it keeps happening then i would try and put the phone in safe mode. this will ensure that a 3rd party app is not the culprit. if it keeps happening after that, then your last resort would be to try a factory reset.

I rebooted my phone to factory setting in January because the security at air port did something to my phone. My phone was working fine. I had zero problems until recently after the new updates my phone has been playing up. I tried restarting, turning my phone off and on. The homescreen thing just happens even when I'm playing a game. I'm not sure if it's the updates or the apps on my phone.

Was that in the US, where I've heard about the TSA investigating what's on travellers' devices. FWIW I've been through airport security hundreds of times in the last 10 years in Asia and Europe, and not once have airport security taken any interest in what's on any phone, tablet, or laptop I've had.

As for the crashing to home-screen problem, that could be a software issue. Suggest trying resetting the phone again, and if it's still happening, then that's something probably more serious that requires replacement or repair. Maybe the firmware needs to be re-flashed.

And thank you for welcoming me
You're welcome! :)

So it sounds like something recent has caused this [annoying] problem. Can you recall any new apps you installed around the time it started? Take a look at your app history (which should show newest first) and see if that jogs your memory.

What you can try is uninstalling, in reverse order of how you installed them, any apps that may be the culprit. One by one see if that fixes it. (And if you zero in on the guilty app, please post its name here, and post on its Play Store page, explaining what it did. These will help others.)

Since the problem started several months after a factory reset, I agree with @ocnbrze that that may be your next step. I know it's a hassle, but if it fixes the problem, it's worth it. Be sure to save any important files before factory resetting.

Oh no this was at my home country Australia. I claimed the stupid roses coming home. It was all because of some roses that i wanted to keep but yeah they went through everything like i was some kind of criminal . Totally put me off travelling overseas. I think my phone is still under warranty. I might get them to check it out. I just bought it like last year December.

Thanks I'll post updates if I fix the problem.
