I have a ZTE Max n9560 Android phone. Had SD card go corrupted, since then storage problems. Using SD card for portable storage, still storage issues. So can factory reset clear all this up and if so how do I do it correctly? Also how do I tell if ZTE Max phone is rooted or not. That I'm Not going to do. Thanks and appreciate any help.

can you be more specific? what do you mean by "storage problems" and "storage issues"? we will need to know more to be able to determine if a factory reset will help or not.

did you buy the phone used? reason why i ask is because you should know if the phone was rooted or not. there is a process to rooting. if you did not go thru the process, then your phone is not rooted. if you bought it used, then that would be a legit reason to ask.

Thanks for the reply. I bought it New, I was just curious about phone is rooted or not. I'm not about to do it myself, cause I'll totally screw something up. Storage issues really started after I had a SD card go corrupt. When get shortage notice and go to file manager to clear up items, there's nothing there to clear up. I've got files by google app installed and use it every couple of hours it seems, not sure it's really doing anything, cause I get Alot of"can't delete or move file to SD card or some Error" using it. Think around 14.86 GB used up on 16 GB storage.this help?

yeah 16gb these days is not enough to be able to have a functioning phone and have apps at the same time. a factory reset may help. but don't expect too much out of your phone. 16gb with 2gb of ram is barely enough these days for a functioning phone.

as far as rooting goes.....if you bought it new, then your phone is not rooted........that you will have to do yourself. all new phones do not come rooted. but some are easier then others to root.

Sorry reply late stupid nurse won't let me have my phone in Chemo treatment,B$#&H. Anyway I'm at wits end with the storage issue,(and I got Very few "Wits" left.think I hit a wrong button just now on here. So to do factory reset, I've been told to do a back up first. Two possibly stupid questions:how do I back up items, and how do I factory reset this thing?(what ever happened to pens and paper). Any suggestions for two questions or should I just buy another phone? Okay three questions.. Thanks y'all

here you go:
how to backup zte

now this is not a 100% backup of your phone. you will still need to redownload your apps and tweak your settings and such.

also just to be safe i would backup anything on your sd card provided you have one to your pc.
So when I do back up what does it back up? I mean it doesn't put my apps back in does it? My main concern is a couple of pictures of my daughter I don't want to loose, cause only ones I have of her, and all the passwords stored on chrome browser and Mint browser Downloader. Do I loose all that?

password on chrome will get saved and can be used on multiple devices so you do not have to worry about that. i do not know anything about mint browser so i can't help you there.

as far as photos goes if you use google photos those get saved automatically to the cloud. if you do not have google photos then you can plug the phone into the pc and back them up there.
