Help Warp Sequent connection problem

hey all...

does anyone have the software that lets you download messages from the zte n861 warp sequent phone to the windows pc? or at least know where I can download it.

for whatever reason, zte removed the software from their website. so I can't download it. it broken links. however, recently, I checked again, this time I could find any trace of those phones for Boost Mobile.

I'm having connection problems with the phone; connection problems includes the wi-fi router as well. so, I think it has the diagnostic feature that can tell me what's going on with the phone.

Running 4.04 Android is your biggest hurdle here.
Reboot your router.

I figured it needs an android upgrade. as for rebooting the router, it has no effect, problem is the handshaking between the phone & the router. there's 2 ways to do it, and it would not handshake connect on those 2 methods in-spite of providing the correct passwords. I'm running ahead of my main problem.

its this. Got this phone in 2012. used it for 4 months, then started having billing problems with it. was going to try to fix it and then stopped using it. wasn't able to get back to it due to a death in the family in 2013 (my grandmother passed away).

In 2016, was finally able to get around it to, check it the phone. it was completely bricked. apparently a power surge from a black out bricked it somehow. couldn't turn it on no matter what. tried to hard reboot, didn't work. sent it to zte to get it fixed. I should have asked to check to make sure it was working properly.

in 2019, finally remembered the pin # to get onto my boost mobile account. was able to get a new number & emsi # as well. both of those old numbers was apparently wiped out when ZTE fixed it.

now the heart of the problem. it stays connected to the boost mobile network for maybe 2 minutes. the bar triangle bar is gray. it fluctuates between x to 4 bars. it will stay like that for 1 hour. then it starts trying to connect to the BM network. the bar triangle turns blue. bars starts fluctuating. evetunally the up/down arrows appear. gray at first then blue. its at this point I send text or make calls.

bluetooth works fine.

connection to the router is a problem.

think this is android software problem or a hardware problem with the phone. the BM support wasn't very useful.

ZTE PC Suite.

No idea if it supports your particular ZTE or not. I don't use Windows and I don't have a ZTE device.

only used it for 4 months. get a new one? that sucks.

Android 4.0.4 is ancient, and is no longer supported by Google or ZTE. If there's no updates for a ZTE N861 Warp, you might be buying a new phone. That ZTE will still work as a basic phone, but it probably won't be able to do much in the way of apps and online.

As for the "whatever reason", I believe ZTE was actually banned from the US by your government.

Good luck.

ZTE is pretty much done for in the US and the last OS/ROM made for that device was actually posted by me, Lol. But Yes, the phone is totally done as far as networks go. Plus the Warp Sequent was a 2G/3G (ONLY) phone and near everything has switched to LTE bands.. Which also means APN's have been changed around a ton in the last cpl years (speaking from exp) and your device is looking for stuff that basically don't exist anymore.. Sorry but yeah, time for a new device.

I found this jan 2019 article. says boost mobile is discontinuing 3G service. they'll be going 4G.

https://www.prepaidphonenews.com/2019/01/boost-mobile-will-only-support-3g.html

why didn't boost mobile technicians tell me that!!!!! grrr.....

new phone? looks that way.

the only part that works is text and bluetooth. but it takes an 1 hr to transmit if the network connection is not available. I'd like to see the the wi fi working with the router, don't know what the issue is with that part.
