maybe i should rephrase my last post:

i love LA winters. i'll also pass on snow...no thank you very much. the only time i want snow is when i'm snowboarding high up in the mountains:cool:
Yes! My feelings exactly. (Well, except I don't snowboard.) When I moved back home to LA [from Dallas...with its ice storms, sub-zero temps, snow], I promised myself that never again will snow come to me. If I want snow/ice, I'll drive up into the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains--then LEAVE when I've had enough!

I'm also a fan of all four seasons. I especially enjoy an elongated fall with the cooler temps and the trees full of color. I'm also a huge fan of spring with all the new life it brings. The bundling up across the winter months with the ground covered in white is always fun. And I know of no finer feeling than to toil under the broiling sun. Fortunately, I live in Kansas that enjoys all four seasons. They seem to pass from one to another far too fast but I enjoy each and look forward to the next.

That’s what most people thought when they moved to Phoenix: “I may swelter in the summer, but at least I’ll never have to worry about snow again...”
Mother Nature: “Challenge accepted.”
Yep, funny how that works! :)

My mother, who'd moved here to SoCal as a child [from NY/NJ], told me about the time it snowed in Pasadena. She didn't recall the exact date or anything, just how shocking it had been to them, and all their fellow East Coast transplants, seeing snow falling in their yards.

I love Arizona [even thought about living there, in the Phoenix area], and while I do tend to think of its snow being more northerly, like around Flagstaff, I'm aware it -can- snow anywhere.
