So I just bought the 3a

Very good! I am still getting used to the location of the fingerprint reader, but other than that I am very happy. And my move to Verizon is working out as well. Thanks for asking!

Still happy with phone? The 'a' series sounds liek for the money the best phone you could possibly get.

It took me a bit to get used to the rear fingerprint scanner too but now I can't imagine it being anywhere else.

Same! And it's the reason I wouldn't want it anywhere else, and why I own't get the Pixel 4

Yes I am still digging the 3a. Are you looking to get one?

I actually considered it. I have the 3 XL and love it. Once the 4 came out with specs that didn't justify the flagship price, I knew I wasn't getting that. But when the 4a gets announced? Now that I could get behind.

My wife and I recently treated ourselves to a couple of Pixel 3a devices. Got them from Carphone Warehouse for £299 each which I think is very good value for a recently launched Android 10 device.

Particularly when compared to our previous purchase of two HTC 10s some 2 years after launch. The battery on mine is already showing signs of failure, exactly the same as my M9 did.

So I felt it was time to have a change after 11 years or so with HTC, starting with the TYTNl followed by TYTNll, Desire S, M7,M9 and finally the HTC 10.

We are both very happy with the Pixel 3a, initial thoughts are all positive.

Funny thing is that my wife's HTC 10 is still going strong, though she is a light user and only has to charge it every few days, so it gets through many fewer charge cycles than most.

I always think that the problem with buying phones 2 years after launch is that this usually means at least 1 year after production ended, which means that the battery has been sitting in storage for a long time (which isn't optimal for longevity).

I feel ya, and for that price you can't lose. I left the HTC train when the Pixel 3 came out myself, after the Droid Incredible, ReZound, DNA, One Max, M9, 10, U11.... LOVED my HTC's.

Up to couple months ago daughter in law was still using the... Hell, I think the DNA. Then battery completely quit. She's on my U11 now.
