I am currently trying to root my LG G Pad F 8.0 v495. While trying to unlock the bootloader the guide I'm following gets to a step where it says enable oem unlock in developer options.. there is no oem unlock in my developer options. I dont think I should just skip this step... has anyone had the same problem or know of a solution??? Thanks

Is the guide for this model of device? I ask because that's a pretty generic option, so general "how to unlock your bootloader" guides might include that but might not apply to your model.

If it is for your model, did you buy the device through a mobile service provider (who may have removed that option)?

Trying to unlock using fastboot without doing this shouldn't do any harm: if that command is needed it just won't work without it.

Thanks man I will proceed. And I made sure it was the correct guide and my carrier is Att they could have removed the oem unlock option. Thanks for the info.

Thanks man but the model I have is the LG G Pad F 8.0 V495. I'm not really sure what the difference is because it looked like the specs and all were close to the same thing. The carrier is AT&T.. But that guide was thorough and had everything exactly what I need except I need it for the
LG G Pad F 8.0 V495. Thanks for the help though..

It's the very first time I've heard that option isn't there in the developer tab..it sounds like is tasit..but still there..the phone kind of knows it..

How did it go??[/QUOTE.

I know I only found 2 other times that I know of and one was a moto e and I can't remember the other was some type of lenovo.. But what I ended up doing was just rooting with kingroot so it didnt even matter. U can tell I'm new to this!!

So any recommendations on what to do after rooting with kingroot?? I need all the help I can get. It's been a struggle. The only internet acess I have is att on my samsung a10e and they have my mobile hotspot and tethering blocked (bc they want me to spend more money with them to tell me how I can use my own data) so I've been doing everything on the lg gpad off data from my phone through the net share app. Bc my sim wont work in the att lg gpad (bc they want me to spend more money on a extra tablet line for data. So I'm either gonna try to find a way to make my sim work in both ( don't know if it's even possible).. and my final mission would be to root the a10e unless there is a better lower budget att or unlocked phone that would be better bc really the a10e sucks . But gonna root that and try to get xposed or something to try to bypass. I pay for the data and I would like to use it how i want. Lol. Sorry for the rant but thats where I'm at. any input would be greatly appreciated.. thanks
