Hello, my phone popped up and asked to update it gave options for when it would finish. Either that or I click delete account for update. I went with I couldn't continue using my phone without deciding an option. Now 1 or 2 days later I see my SD card photos don't appear, it says a pop up sd card corrupt and some internal stuff are missing. Update is there. Has anyone had this after any update.. I was too quick and more scared to touch delete Update because I wouldn't know what would happen. Thanks☺

Firstly, i would update. Updates are important for security reasons, at least. (Unless you're rooted and don't want to lose root.) Regarding the SD card, if you still get the "corruption" message after the update, you have a corrupted SD card. Those things die all the time, at the worst times, at least for me. Good luck. Let us know. And WELCOME TO ANDROID FORUMS!

If the card is not set as internal storage then just get a card reader, plug it into a computer and run your favourite file recovery software. Don't use the card in the meantime.

SD cards do fail (and phones break, get lost or stolen), so never assume that a photo is safe if you don't have a backup on a different device.

I am not sure.. I am learning and correcting this 1 Day at a Time!☺ Thank You so much for having a friendly helping hand. If you could share me instructions if not for but for my next future photos that way I correct this all set for the future ones so they'll be indeed safe!

did you set the sd card as adoptable storage (used as internal storage)? as far as photos, you might want to start using google photos. you can set it to automatically sync to the cloud. i never have to worry about my photos.

Well using Google Photos is easy: you install the app, open it, and when it asks whether you want to back things up you say yes (or you can go into the app's settings).

It will only back stuff up when you open the app (if you never use it then it will not back things up in the background), and by default it will only back up over WiFi (you can change that, but it could use a lot of data, especially if you take videos). But otherwise that's all there is to it.

:)Hey Friends, I would like to say a thank you for connecting with me. Your support has helped me in a way. I have a lot to be thankful for in life and I think what was upon toll at second was my less than a minute decision that was so unimportant for the time being. This little adventure of mine has opened up a lot what is important and what to focus on and to do.

If God given I will update you, but if not I don't want you all to be waiting which I'm sure you all won't. It's easy if one day you'll get a notification or not. I appreciate you all very much and if I need help with something I wont be afraid to ask you. You may help whenever if your will..thats why all this by freedom. As of now I see media of mine on Google Photos so theres at least a thumbs up to this. Another thumbs up is I learn to adopt is to save save the day I captured anything. I am going to back up with Google Photos, Dropbox, Facebook, email what's most dear to me.. I did some taking care of and feel I am taking care of it with heart. As for the SD additionals I wont know until I take it out and open it on another device or computer. Other users of this say that it wasnt the SD Card but the phone not corresponding to it after an update so their SD stuff popped up reading on the PC.

Happy Blessed Day to you!
Lets learn from 1 Another steps to make our life more intelligent.

I have media on Google Photos. If my phone says there is no backup account what would that mean because does the media appear on Google Photos automatically as is in on the phone or it is already considered backed up since it appears on Google Photos. -thanks

I also is it for the best I take the SD card out of the my lg phone.

is it for the best now I take the SD card out of the my lg phone. Its the only way to know for fact, if for instance someone only not see's now what was saved on the SD would it be better to keep it in the phone while doing something like one day recovery or at that point it doesn't matter if you put it back it would not be different since its always formost to do with the phone if it rejects it or claims it whatever.
Recovering by phone or PC etc does not require the SD to be in the phone if its to recover sd stuff. I dont think rhere... but is there a recovery to do by the phone only I don't think so....

Just to show what the LG stylo points out for the SD.. There is no place to click eject I'll have to simply take it ou like as that!
