Huawei P20 Problem

Hello everybody! I would like to make a question. I have a problem with my smartphone Huawei P20. The problem is that when I put the phone in car holder, then I have problem with touch screen's zoom in-out in different apps like gooogle maps for example.
When I have the phone in my hands, then everything is ok.
Do you have any idea about this problem?

it could be your car mount. maybe the grip is touching the screen causing confusion with your touch? have you tried to reboot the phone?
Unfortunately it isn't my car mount because it happens even if I put the phone on a table and try to zoom in-out.
Also when I have the phone on car mount and the same time I charge it then everything is ok.
I restored my phone to factory settings but nothing changed.
The car mount is a simple car mount, not a magnetic.

Can you tell us the specific name/model of the car mount?

My first inclination was exactly what @ocnbrze suggested. Could it be that your phone automatically locks after X minutes of inactivity and you're trying to pinch and zoom and a locked screen that shows your map/nav? Maybe check your screen settings?

factory reset would fix any software bugs.....so we can scratch that off the list. usually resets will help fix most bugs or glitches. so it can be either a settings issue as @Rob has suggested or it might be a hardware issue (not sure what hardware it could be.....accelerometer? gyroscope?).

Welcome to Android Forums, Spyros_B! :)

So it's definitely not the car mount.

Okay...so as others have mentioned, could it be a lock-screen issue? Maybe when you're charging--and it works right--it's because the phone stays unlocked? I'm phrasing that as a question because there are variables involved.

Since you know it works correctly when charging, try looking through your system settings for anything that may turn off the screen. Try making adjustments there and see what happens.
