Help POPUP VIEW suddenly missing from apps

my phone has been multitasking beautifully for 3 months. Yesterday I was told about GoodLock and decided to try it. I installed it and the extras and everything was okay. Last night I was letting my favorite little game play while doing something else and it was perfect. even snapped a screenshot to show my iPhone friends. This morning I woke up and went to do my daily multitasking and NOW MOST OF MY APPS DO NOT ALLOW ME TO USE POPUP VIEW WITH THEM. The same app I always put in a little window to let run in the background to get my points launches fullscreens only and the same with my water app I usually tap open from the taskbar app to log a drink in the corner of my screen and quickly close it when done. I got this phone FOR multitasking because it's what I can't do on iPhone or I would have just gotten another one of those. I thought it was probably goodlock since that's the only thing new and cleared the data and removed it all but it's still broken. I uninstalled my beloved taskbar app but I still can't force apps in popup view no matter. I checked and there were no app updates overnight either. I need my multitasking back. I already have phones that only run one app at a time and that's why I stopped using them.

I checked and NONE OF my apps updated in that short time through the play store. This all just happened out of nowhere when I woke up today - the phone wasn't even restarted.

I have since force stopped, cleared the data from, and uninstalled goodlock and it's freebies and even my taskbar app AND have restarted and everything is still messed up.

I was playing it last night while browsing Feedly and thought this phone is great. It's like a computer and I can do many things at once. Now, if this isn't fixed there's really no difference between this and the iPhone beside me.This is the whole reason I switched from iPhone to Android. I don't want a phone that only does one thing at a time. It's all my important apps. Xfinity TV steaming, Disney+, everything.

can I move my gallery and everything in it to an ad card. I have a lot of albums I don't want to lose but need to just wipe this phone.

OKAY: moving the DCIM folder so I'm good there. I am going to wipe this phone and never try to customize it again. I cannot believe how badly SAMSUNG'S GoodLock ruined my phone.

UPDATE: I erased The entire phone and set it up again and the feature is LOST. I go to open apps and hold on the app icon and the option for popup view is gone on all the apps I need to multitask with daily. I already had a phone that only could only handle running one app at a time...my iPhone next to me. There's now no reason for me to switch from apple to android now I'm trading this in for the latest boring iPhone because what's the point now?

This "PopUp view" and "GoodLock" are things I've never seen or heard of before
. I presume they're or were specific to your Samsung? I know about split-screen mode, where you can have two different apps running on the display. Also this thread is in the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus forum?? AFAIK that phone hasn't been released yet.

OP can you confirm what phone, make, model, Android version, and carrier, you've actually got there.

So sorry! Lol! Meant to post this in the S10 forum! Crap! It is specific to the Galaxy line I believe and definitely by Samsung. I saw an article on how it was just updated for OS10 so I thought I'd try it out, not realizing how far reaching the effects of Android software is compared to the sandboxed iOS stuff.

The option for popup view for these apps is just give today.

This is definitely something I've never seen or heard of before. Could be certain Samsung devices only?

There's split-screen mode, that's been in Android for a couple of years now,
where you can have your Pokemon Go or whatever running in one half of the screen, and can do whatever else you like in the other half. And that is a feature I use quite frequently on my Huawei Mate 10. I don't think iPhones can even do split-screen?

Yes, the thing is some of the apps still work like that but a lot of my apps just magically stopped working like that overnight. The night before they were being used in popup and split screen view perfectly and now they just don't support it. And again, they weren't updated! It's crazy. They just stopped working.... Like so many other features on this thing. And wiping the entire phone didn't fix it either!

I have this issue. I use the pop-up view feature to auto-farm in Summoners War and simultaneously watch YouTube videos.

A restart usually solves the problem but then it happens again at random.

Today the problem returns within minutes after restarting.

Was a solution ever found?

Nope, never. Yet another unsolved Android problem that will never be addressed. I just uninstalled the game because I didn't like playing it on full screen mode.
