Help Friend Stream

So, I'm not sure what's wrong with the app or if i'm just being blind to it - but if i try to write on a friend's wall on facebook through the stream, there's no way to do so. I can only comment on their actions or other people's comments on their walls. any suggestions?

friend stream is just for comments and to see whats going on. its not a full app. use the facebook app if you wanna do that.

I dint think you can delete it but u dont have to use it. Its nice tho.

its a widget. you can put it there or remove it.

thanks, I just realized how stupid that question sounded. What I mean is, I am only subscribed to Facebook, and on my Pre I just go to the normal webpage. I don't want something slowing down my phone if I don't need it. Obviously I'm new to Android!

And the Evo is gonna bring in a HUGE number of folks new to Android, so I am hoping the more seasoned folks are just kind and patient with them.

This is what a forum is for, getting questions answered. So ask away, and don't stress you don't know yet. In 6 months, you will be the old seasoned pro helping out all the newbies that follow you.

I know my TP2 has a FB app and I just go to the home page from the browser it's easier. I probably will still do that on this phone. No need to use and app with a nice browser and big screen.

the palm pre had two different ones. the one where you would go to the browser and then the program version. the EVO has both. if you wanna use the web one then go open the brower and go to touch.facebook.com if you want the program one then go to the launcher and select facebook.

friendstream is just a widget to "stream" info from social networks all in one place on a homescreen. the phone is fast enough to handle it and it wont slow down your phone at all.

Agent Jones said it well, will just add that I to only use FB and on my Hero I just loved friendstream verses using the stock app to just read the stream.
Using friendstream on the hero I never noticed it slowing it down in the least.

have you tried to install new themes like ahome themes? i really like the looks of that developers themes.

my friend stream just stopped working all of a sudden ,i cant use it for facebook anymore ,its showing a msg " unable to update facebook ,please try again later"

any1 who can help me wid this ???

It may very well be something to do with all of the new facebook updates that have been rolling out on the mobile platform. I would give it a week or so to see if it was a problem caused by facebook
