Can't find setting to auto start an app when re-booting phone

Hi all,

Am pretty happy with my S10e overall. REALLY outperforms my old S4, LOL.

I've searched without finding the answer to this: How/where do I change a setting to get a specific app to auto start whenever I power up the phone?

I have an app called "smart alarm free" that I really like. I use it for my daily alarm clock. However, if I re-boot my phone for any reason, I have to remember to go start the alarm or it doesn't function, which can make for an "exciting" morning. I don't trust my memory to do this every time On my S4, it started up automatically and I never had to think about it.

See if this helps https://www.softwarert.com/app-auto-run-samsung-mobile-phone/

But if there is no built in app, you can download an app called microdroid, and in it you can configure the the app should open automatically when you turn on your phone

Yes, I had looked at that page and several others prior to posting. Will take another look; maybe I missed something there.

Thanks for the pointer to microdroid. Will also research that. I'm not particular about how I get this to work.

Thanks!
