Want to import Outlook ICS file from PC to Android Outlook

I have exported the Outlook calendar ICS file from my PC and saved into the download folder of my android phone. I have outlook on my android phone and simply want to import the calendar ICS file into Android Outlook to view my calendar on my phone. That's all. Am an old school DOS guy and I prefer to do this process as manually as possible. Thanks for any help

Use your file manager on the device and click on the ics file. It should open automatically with calendar or contacts

Bingo. I probably should have thought of that myself. I guess my mistake was thinking that Outlook would allow a manual import/export between platforms. Seems like it should be a basic feature to me. Will likely be uninstalling Outlook from the phone. Thanks lots. Now I can fully devote my time to getting those darned kids off my lawn. (but I'm keeping their ball)

If you had them both logged into your Outlook account, then Outlook on your PC and phone will sync automatically.

Thanks for the thought but doubtful. I'm retired. I don't do email on my phone and the only reason I'm using Outlook is that I still have a licensed copy of MS Office 2010 from my job on my PC, am generally familiar with it, and the native Win10 email and contacts programs had no manual way to back up and restore that I could figure out. The only account I have is the email address that's tied to my personal web page
