Hey guys I bought a USB-C to HDMI cable and my phone supports the display out which is amazing! But for some reason when I connect it my phone is stuck on the USB connection type as a 'Power Supply' to the TV... I can't change it to any of the other options anyone have some experience with this? 😁😁😁😁

I thought of that a while back and decided I didn't want any more cables. So I went with a Google Chromecast 3rd generation. I can send Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, etc and still have complete use of my phone. Then I can also display my phone's screen on my TV. It was easy to set up and I can control it all over my house.
Sorry, but I can't help with the cable.
Good luck.

All good thanks dude! 😁 I'm just happy that it works with my V40 I don't have the wireless option as I have no internet at home so the cable was the only way it works great just curious as to why it's stuck on that option... I think thought it was you cause considering it's an outbound signal to the TV the other outbound USB option is the power supply... Does that make any sense?😅😅😅 Just thinkin out loud

With the Chromecast, I can send almost anything to my TV. Most video apps have the ability to send their movies to the Chromecast. If they don't, like IMDB (international movie data base), I can go into the phones Settings, Network, Screen Sharing. When I turn it on, my phone's screen is sent to my TV. You may be able to do the same with your cable but then you can't do anything else without interrupting the video. Your TV becomes your phone's screen so you can do exactly the same things you do without the cable. But just like your unconnected phone, when your phone rings, the video stops to answer your phone.Capture+_2020-03-23-12-41-10.png
