Trix were originally "just boring pieces" (little colored balls). That was my favorite childhood cereal (late 1960s).

One of my cousins, did had a box of little colored balls, I found them on my local grocery store a few years later on.

With a capital "A", as in the sequel to "Alien"? Pretty sure that was James Cameron

I've not real all of King's work, but he typically opts for either supernatural agencies or entirely human ones rather than extraterrestrials (or sometimes a grey area: on one level Cujo was merely infected with rabies, but there was an implication that this event and its consequences were somehow part of the general malignancy that infects that fictional corner of Maine). But where does one draw the line between supernatural and alien? Sure, poltergeist (Carrie) = supernatural/paranormal, whereas things from another planet = alien, but how about things from another dimension/reality (a possible interpretation of say It or Needful Things)? A topic for a different thread really.
