Would the Asus X555QA 15.6" HD Notebook AMD Quad-Core A12-9720P be sufficient for android development using the Android Studio SDK? My biggest concern is whether or not it supports virtualization. My current laptop specs are:
System Manufacturer: TOSHIBA
System Model: Satellite C55Dt-A
System Type: x64-based PC
Processor(s): 1 Processor(s) Installed.
[01]: AMD64 Family 22 Model 0 Stepping 1 AuthenticAMD
~2000 Mhz
BIOS Version: Insyde Corp. 1.80, 1/27/2014
Hyper-V Requirements: VM Monitor Mode Extensions: Yes
Virtualization Enabled In Firmware: Yes
Second Level Address Translation: Yes
Data Execution Prevention Available: Yes
According to my Internet research, I need to disable Hyper-V. I am unable to do so.
Turn Windows features on or off does not have a Hyper-V Manager.
I tried to disable Hyper-V by using the elevated command prompt. I'm about ready to throw in the towel and buy a new laptop.
