@LV426 left...and I miss him

I know members come and go, but I'm saddened by the realization that @LV426 deleted his account.

I had noticed his absence, and was wondering if he was okay, then looked back at a private conversation we'd had in January and realized he was gone. Deleted.

Hey LV, if you happen to see this, you're missed around here! Your intelligent, insightful posts would be very welcome right now. Reconsider, maybe?

Just have to wonder why someone would delete their account on Android Forums. Its such a wonderful site . In the sort time I've been here, I've made good friends with several members. I only wish I'd discovered AF sooner.

People have their reasons. I won't share anything LV said to me privately, but I have a pretty good inkling what his reason was.

Indeed it is. AF was the first and, for almost a year, the only site I resumed being active on after my illness. I wasn't up to juggling multiple sites, so I picked one: AF.

In the sort time I've been here, I've made good friends with several members. I only wish I'd discovered AF sooner.

I wish you had, too! But you're here now.

I too was missing here in AF for a couple of years, before I came back.

There's a quite a few members that I miss here. I was reminiscing in the o.g. Evo threads the other day and found a lot of members that i miss who no longer participated here anymore. Those were the good ole days!!!!!!

I can't tell exactly, because his posts now show 'deleted user' as the poster's name, but my last private conversation with him was in late January. I loved talking Linux with him!

Yes, me too. I even posted a thread [loosely] about that some time back... Stinky always comes to mind when I start reminiscing about 'lost' members. He was something else!

I too was really surprised when LV426 disappeared. He was a good Moderator and a very knowledgeable contributor. Which reminds me of the introduction of the 'new' junior staff 'Contributor' status which attracted a good number of volunteers, including myself. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was sad to see it's demise at the same time as the 'Guides' were dropped. A lot of ex-Contributors have disappeared too.
