I recently purchased a Samsung Chromebook all my Google stuff was working fine including Google photos. Now all of a sudden when I go to Google photos none of my photos show up I have everything synced between my devices the photos do come up on my PC and my phone. If I click on albums it shows some albums. Sometimes when I click on photos the cursor just spins and spins but nothing happens. If I do a search in photos, photos do come up. I just can't click on the photo tab to make all my photos appear, any ideas?

It is so strange I can get to my photo library on any other device. On the Chromebook I can open albums and I can see pictures, I can open trash and I can see the pictures and all my other Google stuff works fine on the Chromebook I just can't see any pictures in the photo library and that used to work fine.

This is a very strange problem, Billybronco, and I'm really not sure what else to suggest.

It's been a long time since I used my Chromebook, but it wouldn't help here anyway, because I installed my own Linux flavor, Kubuntu, on it, rather than use Google's. But try this sequence:

- log out of your Google account
- shutdown [complete power down]
- leave off for a minute
- restart
- log back in
- see if it works now

You might have to change the order, but the important thing is to both log out and power down.

If that doesn't help, is there anyone who can try logging in with their Google account, and see if they have the same problem? Their results would help narrow things down.

Lastly, have you tried with more than one browser?

The computer is a SAMSUNG XE303C12 I signed in with my wife's Google account and no pictures show up in the library but I can see folders trash and other pictures just like mine. I signed out shut everything down for a few minutes. No change, still don't see any photos.

As far as using another browser which makes no sense you would think Google would play with Google how would I do that on the Chromebook I can't use Internet Explorer I don't imagine so do I need to download an app or what?

Since your wife's account exhibited the same behavior, I think we can assume at this point that there's something fundamentally wrong on the Chromebook. Is there any chance it's still under warranty?

Does Google have its own support forum for Chromebooks? [They should.] That's where my next stop would be. When you're in your Chromebook, look for 'help' or 'support' or similar, and see where it leads you.

As for trying another browser, it's no longer relevant. Plus, I was thinking of -my- CB, which I turned into a regular Linux laptop, with my chosen apps installed on, and its data stored on, its hard drive [or my network]. With a stock CB, you can't do that.
