Apps How to upload an app over maximum size?

Hi, I'm new to Android world and I got a problem when I try to upload my first game which is 350 MB to Google Play Console. I have searched for many days but I still have no idea what is the right way to handle it. It seems like Dynamic Delivery is the best solution for me so I follow the official documentations and split my game resources into three install-time dynamic delivery modules to keep each one of them is bellow 150 MB. Before uploading aab file, I use command "bundletool build-apks --bundle xxx.aab --output=xxx.apks" to double-check all the output apk files no exceeding 150 MB. However, I still got error message telling me there could be one or more auto-generated multi-APKs exceeds the maximum allowed size of 150 MB. The full error message is like below.

One or more of the auto-generated multi-APKs exceeds the maximum allowed size of 150 MB.

Your App Bundle contains the following configurations where the initial install would exceed the maximum size of 150 MB:ARM64_V8A + HDPI, ARM64_V8A + XHDPI, ARM64_V8A + TVDPI, ARM64_V8A + XXHDPI, ARM64_V8A + LDPI, ARMEABI_V7A + XXXHDPI, ARM64_V8A + MDPI, X86 + XXXHDPI, X86 + HDPI, X86 + XXHDPI

There are many apps' size over the the maximum allowed size on the Play Store and I just wonder why I can't upload my game like them. What is the proper way to handle an app exceeding the maximum allowed size? Thanks.

Welcome to Android Forums @Wilson G :)

Im not a developer but I know some apks like for instance Eternium (bata) when lauched automatically dosplay a popup with "please wait while additional files are downloaded" or something to that effect. Im not sure if this will solve your issue uploading to Google PS but it's worth looking into.

Thanks for suggestion. But apps like PUBG you don't have to wait for additional download, everything is ready to go when you install successfully. What I want is just like this kind of apps. Thanks you so much! :))

No they don't, because with games like PUBG, they're downloading/streaming their additional required content as needed from a server as you're playing them. And that's why they can't be played off-line.

This image is what I see on my test device which is Android 6. When I download the app from the Play Store it does download approximately 1.7 GB right?

WoW! , thats a huge amount of data. Approximately 1.7 Gbs is about almost the size of one of my custom roms. Sorry , I couldn't be more helpful.
