Hello!

One or two months ago I noticed that when I switch between apps, when I scroll ,when I switch folders, etc, the screen brightness changes by a few points so to speak,it blinks. There are times when I do the same activities and the screen doesn't blink from the first try.
I tried some things that I found online(with no result):
-start the phone in safe mode
-factory reset
-turn off auto-brightness
-turn off battery optimization for system UI and launcher
-turn on disable HW overlays
-turn on force GPU rendering
I'm afraid it's a hardware problem...What more can I try?Thank you!

I would also go back to phone settings "Developer Options" and turn off "HD Overlays" and "GPU Rendering" . In fact, if you have a setting to turn off or toggel off "Developer Options" for the time beeing, I suggest you try that and re-boot. Then check to see if your issues have been resolved.

A few things I might add/change developer options , although not related to the screen flicking, would be to change the animations (window, transmission and duration) to Zero or off.
If you have dark/night mode you can choose that option as well.

Enabling USB is good if you need to transfer data between cellphone and pc but likewise, it's a security risk when left enabled. That choose is entirely up to you.

On my device, being a rooted user I choose to have mine enabled at all times. The fact that I also have the Xposed framwork, installer and module, allows me to secure my device to only one pc. Unfortunately, I don't believe this is an option for non-rooted devices. :(

The following image is animations set to off.
