Bluetooth - Two Issues

Hello everybody,

Week ago I got LG V40 as a replacement for G7 that got swollen battery. Thanks to LG's 2nd Year Promise warranty. They didn't have G7 and offered me V40 which I gladly accepted. The phone looks like brand new, but I am sure it was probably refurbished.

Everything works, including Bluetooth, but I have two issues.

First issue. When the phone is paired to Uconnect in 2017 Pacifica minivan, or any other device, there is no Bluetooth symbol on the notification bar.

Second issue. When the phone is paired to Uconnect in 2017 Pacifica minivan and I use Google Maps navigation there is no voice guidance coming neither from Uconnect nor phone itself. When I disable Bluetooth I can here voice guidance from the phone. I connected phone to my 2011 Hyundai Genesis and started Google navigation and I could here voice guidance from the phone. So, I assume it is more Uconnect issue.

I searched Internet but couldn't find anything.

Any help appreciated, especially with the first issue.

PS
Forgot to ad, it is Android 9.

maybe the unit is older and not made for the newer android os. i hate the turn by turn navigation. i usually have that turned off when my phone connects to my kenwood unit.

and just curious are you sure the voice is turned up?
from their f.a.q.
There are two ways to adjust the volume of the Navigation prompts:

  • During an active route, press the Next Turn icon on the top left of the touchscreen. Once the guidance prompt sounds, turn the volume up or down.
  • Go to NAV > Settings > Guidance > Guidance Prompts and press + to turn the volume up or - to turn it down.

I have a 2017 Journey, and I absolutely hate the Uconnect system. I finally figured out how to get my custom ringtones to play through the system. Might need to check the settings in the developer options. (My issue was the Enable in-band ringing). Also have trouble hearing incoming calls without switching from vehicle to phone then back to vehicle.

Thanks. I will go through developer options.
