We have full root and are working on ROM and recovery for the new Moto e
Model XT2052-6

We are asking any who want to test ROMs and recovery for this device to join us in our telegram group.

Also looking specifically for anyone who has one of these that is carrier unlocked .
We believe we may have discovered a way to bypass restrictions but more testing is needed ...

-Progress Update-
-I was able to build and boot Custom Recovery from source. Mounting System, Vendor and Product is currently not working. Looking into it and it's a WIP
-It seems as though I am now able to build a super.img and it's booting. First test was unmodified System, Vendor and Product in super.img. Next test will be modified System, Vendor and Product, followed by stuffing a GSI into the super.img

If you are willing to test and dump partitions I can post the test Recovery. Touch currently isn't working. USB OTG mouse is required to use it. It will backup super.img and maybe even flash it.

Further progress has been made. I'm now able to modify stock system as well as product inside super.img. Further good news is that system and product now appear to be rw

I have a package ready to flash that can be flashed from bootloader from Windows or Linux. contains Magisk and Custom patched boot, dtbo, system and product. system, product and vendor are contained in super.img custom bootanimation, very simmed down stock rom with all files used from the unlocked version
