Hero on the 3 Network

Hi All,
I have just been on the 3 site to check out the mobiles
as I am overdue an upgrade and it has been reported on
here that the Hero was going to be on 3 from today 02/11/2009.
I have been checking and there is No HTC phones at all listed, :-(
Could the people who reported this in the first place please let me know
where they found out about it as since I read about it I have been
waiting to call them.
|I hope that I wont have to change networks now.

that was my thread :) The reason you can't see it yet is because it is out November 3rd but they Have got a Type of pre-release screen here ;)

So check back on the 3 Store / Online Shop Tomorrow and It should hopefully be their! :D

I called 3 tonight and what a Pleasure to hear a Scottish voice on the end of a 3 phone it was as well. ;-)
I was told by the male operator that they have no idea when they are getting the Hero in other than it should be sometime this Month. :-(
So where did you come by the 3rd of November date please Carl?

Cheers Carl, seems like one hand don't know what the other one is
on about then sadly.
I hope they get their collective Fingers out so I can negotiate my
continuing staying with 3.
I have found that sadly the Indian people are not or are not allowed
to be flexible with upgrades!

I understand what you mean , Well I'm sorry to have disappointed you with this....I hope you can get your hands on it soon :(

And yeah I know that the 3 Reps {regardelss of where they come from} :) are not as flexible when it comes to Negotiating your contract. My sister had this experience while trying to renew her Mobile Broadband which by the way sort of sucks for me....It's just really slow internet :thinking:

Carl, when you phone three, or any phone company for that matter, don't speak to upgrades, go through to disconnections. On three customer services line, there is a option "if you're thinking of leaving three press..." getting to straight through to disconnections, where they are paid commission for each customer they keep, they can do far more then the people is store (who can't do anything) and more than the people in the upgrade department.

For example, I upgrade last week I was on the VT750 plan (750min + unlimited txts) for

I preregistered for the hero on the 3 website. I got an email later offering the spotify hero for 35 pm without the normal upfront charge.
I was already with 3 so would not offer me this so i asked to cancel my contract and they did let me take it.

I got my Hero last week but with no Spotify voucher. I am getting different stories and I suspect there is a not on my account saying "put him off for as long as poss since we did not and will not send the voucher".

Adrian - I see that you managed to get one. Do you have any stickers on the box to say that it has a voucher in? I suspect they intentionally sent the one without which is why the only reference to it is on the paperwork.

I have been getting the notification alert at random intervals (same as text message) and looking at my phone only discover there is nothing there.
I discovered after lots of searching online with no success that it was when it lost the 3G signal and changed to 2G. On three the phone seems to think it is roaming when this happens.
You can disable the alert in settings, wireless, mobile network settings, data roaming sound.
