Frankly, I looked up the price. Two thousand dollars. TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR A PHONE? At those prices it better do a lot more than what a phone does. Make me breakfast in the morning, maybe?

Is anyone gonna flash their card and put it down for this baby? Not i.

I'm not saying that I won't spend that much for a phone some day. However, it will be a cold day in.... No, I know better than to make such a statement. All things are possible. I never thought I'd pay more for a meal than what I once spent on a week's worth of groceries for four but that day has come and past. I guess it could happen. It just isn't about to happen any time soon.

I'm an 81 year-old retired guy under house arrest until I can get a Covid vaccine. I figure an old guy who can't go out needs a new toy, so I ordered a Galaxy Fold2. I ordered direct from Samsung and bought a Galaxy Z Fold2 5G (Unlocked) and an Aramid Standing Cover. With a $50 instant credit, trade-in of an S20+, and a military discount, the total cost was $1,348.23 (before sales tax). That's less than a nice cruise (that I can't take).

hey so after a few months, care to share your opinion on it? i'm thinking about upgrading to either the fold 2 or the new fold 3 when it comes out.

I have a Jp5 tablet. Is it possible to install an SD card reader in this device. If so can someone please walk me through the process.

Is there a single same person it there that knows anything about these infernal devices? I need help installing an SD card reader in this beast.

If it's the JPay prison tablet. From what I've read, I don't think you can plug anything into that, except headphones, a charger, and the JPay kiosks(only found in prisons). To "install" an SD card reader requires USB-OTG, and I'm quite certain the JP5 doesn't have that.

Adding something like a SD card reader is going to require a hardware implementation and the required, integral software/firmware. The former isn't going to happen with a JP5 tablet, that's something that has to be done by the manufacturer during the design and assembly process, the latter is an alteration to the Android operating system itself that's specific to whichever model of JP5 tablet. Neither one is something a typical consumer can do.

If you want to readily be able to add such things, don't waste your time doing so on a tablet device. Buy a desktop computer, mobile devices are more often than not just fixed, as is, and what you have is what you get. With a desktop you're still able to add/alter/upgrade hardware features along with being able to manually add in the required firmware; with a tablet like a JP5 you can't just do something like add in what are otherwise peripheral devices.

I used to suffer from something I called CAPS (Compulsive Android Purchase Syndrome), and I would purchase every Android flagship that was introduced and then sell my current phone. The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 has cured my CAPS, and I don't think I'll ever buy a phone other than the latest Galaxy Fold. For me, it's a great combination of a phone and a very portable tablet. It's great now, and it will get better with subsequent releases. I'm anxious to see the improvements in the Galaxy Fold 3.
