Hi All,

Long time lurker here. Long story short, I've been trying to clone an exact copy of a paid subscription App (of which, the subscription has expired long ago) for a few years now(unsuccessfully) from my S5 to my S9+(the S7 died long ago). I have tried many, many 'clone' & 'backup' apps to no avail(these simply copy the apk & load it onto the new phone/tablet which doesn't include user data etc. Any Apps out there that actually work(I don't mind buying one/paying) as the subscription renewal is quite expensive(it is for a car diagnostic Tablet for my car) which is unaffordable for me to update as I am just a DIY.

Thanks in advance fr any advice offered.

All paid subscription apps and services I know, authenticate and login to an account via an online server. So if you do this "car diagnostic tablet" or can "clone" the client app, unless you have a current subscription with a valid username and password, I don't think it's going to work.

Mike it still works perfectly fine on the original Lenovo Tablet & also on my Samsung S5, Just the S5 is getting extremely laggy so I want to put the exact copy from the S5 onto the S9 so it effectively opens up to look exactly the same if that makes sense?

Yeh, that does make sense.

You could try Helium Backup, that's supposed to be able to backup and sync apps and their data, including transferring to another device, although I've never used it myself.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/... backup, data to your SD card or cloud storage

One reason why I can think it won't work, is if the app does use an online authentication, to verify it's running on the original device(s) it was purchased for, like with registered device serial numbers or types.

I've tried helium before but it wants me to put in onto my desktop also which I don't see why I need to as I'm going from phone to phone?

I have it working fine on my Samsung S5(it originally came on a 10" Lenovo tablet with all the Launch protective covers).

I'm not even sure if "clone" is the correct term I'm after.
