Help Speaker phone sounds better then earpiece

Is it just my phone, I was just on the phone with someone that was on a landline, I noticed it was a little garbly (is that a word LOL) and a little hard to understand, almost like the beginning of each word was cutting off, I decided to put him on speaker phone so I can write stuff down and the phone call was now crystal clear. Anyone else notice that their speaker phone sounds better then if they are not on speaker phone?

I haven't really noticed but the speakerphone quality on this phone is very good other then not being that loud.

I had this issue and did a factory reset. That problem has gone away. There are also other threads on this that might have other less-painful solutions.

I rarely talk with my earpiece unless I'm in a public place, or around people, etc.

I try to think of the speakerphone being better than the earpiece a feature. The microphone can pick up your voice from across the room without having to yell, and the speaker is full.

It's not just you who noticed this, but my position is that you should just enjoy the things that your phone does better than others

I would love to but when my phone doesn't sound good on phone calls, then it kinda outweighs all the "better" things it does. I would think when a phone is made, first priority would be to have clear phone conversations right?

Mine are fine.

Maybe it's just your area.

I get 2 Bars (Not that bars even matter much on CDMA networks...) and I have crystal clear sound quality.

To be honest, I don't think its the phone.

You could also try something... do a *228 call, and select option 2.

See if that helps.

I would think if it's the area then the speakerphone would sound crappy too. I did the *228 the other day also, I did factory reset my phona and so far so good so we shall see

I've noticed the same behavior, but it wasn't always consistent.
