I currently have a ZTE Maven and I it is a version 5.1.0 and it is locked with someone else's Google account, is there a factory reset protection override? I held the volume up and home button and power button all at once and proceeded to the factory reset/wipe device setting and completed this action, however it did not wipe the Google previous owner credentials from the phone. Is anyone aware of a way to get in the back door so to speak and obtain a work around this issue? Thank you for taking the time to read this and offer any available solutions. As I very much need to get this phone unlocked.

Not legally.. No. Unfortunately my advice is to rid yourself of the ZTE devices as they're not coming back to the USA anytime soon.. sorry for your misfortune in owning one. :saddroid:

the only other way is to contact the previous owner. there is a reason it is called frp (factory reset protection). it is protection from thieves so that they cant just factory reset a phone to by pass the lockscreen like in the old days.

this is why when you buy a used phone, do the exchange in person and at the place where you plan on getting your cellular service from.

Thank you for your reply as I am the owner of this phone I just forgot my Google account password, and do not at the moment have the means to acquire a new phone, so I am trying to unlock MY phone. If you think of anything that I could do I would love to hear any plausible solutions.
