where are you seeing this? what phone do you have? it sounds like a system app and should be ok. i can't find much info on it so i think it is harmless whatever it is.

I see it in my child's Google Activity but there's no new pic. So I'm wondering what pics she takes that she then erases. I've Googled it but Google doesn't give me a definitive answer.

yep it is a system app associated with the camera:
https://android-apk.org/com.myos.camera/35258775-myos-camera/

and it does not have to take pictures to see it in activity. it could also be used to look at previous photos.
