Happy thanksgiving everyone. I'm thankful the lights are still on here at AF and I can still chill with my online pals. :)

Happy Thanksgiving, my AF family! :D

Hope you're all having a wonderful, and safe, day. It's beautiful here in the lovely San Gabriel Valley, sunny, 70-something, just really nice.

I feel so blessed to have come upon this forum all those eons ago. You're a bright spot in my life!

I'm spending Thanksgiving at my dad's house, he's fallen ill since Tuesday so today I made a turkey dinner for us both.
Watching football and making sure he takes his medicine.
Oh, gee, Danny, I hope it's not too serious. It's good that you're there with him, cooking and all. Keep us posted. Our thoughts are with you and your dad.

holly shit i think i ate too much. can you die of over eating?
Yes, actually, you can. I've seen a number of patients die on My 600-lb Life because of their habit of over-eating. But I think you're safe. ONE day of being a glutton most likely won't kill you! I sure hope not. :D

I've been working on losing weight recently. I lost a ton when I was sick--weight that I COULD NOT lose before I got sick. I mean it just didn't matter how few calories I ate, the weight would not go away. It kept going up...and up...and up... Then, bam! I lost a bunch during that awful six months in the hospital. One good thing, though, it was like a window$ computer--rebooting so to speak. Something got reset! I had lost so much weight that my doctors wanted me to regain 10-15 pounds, and once food was appetizing again, I did that and then some. But now, after that 'reset,' dieting actually causes weight loss! I'm thrilled about that. I still have a ways to go, but I've lost 23 pounds.

I don't feel deprived at all, as everything I consume tastes really, really good, and I'm never hungry. The only change is that I don't eat AS MUCH of my nightly indulgence [dark chocolate] as I was before. When you cannot eat for almost a year, and then you can, you want A LOT of the stuff you really like! So let's just say I ate a lot of chocolate...and now I'm limiting it and losing weight. So it's all good! :D

I weighed 144 lbs when I married in 73 and weigh 150 now. I only eat one meal a day and have for decades. I eat plenty when I eat but I roll it into one meal. Between being very active and my eating habits, I eat what I want without any ill effects. I ate two enormous plates of turkey and all the fixings and some pumpkin pie today. Feeling great!
I'm with you Danny.. I feel fortunate not to stress about diet.
