Hey guys who all has this phone now? any other quirks or gripes? I am going to swing by the sprint today and if I like it pick it up. But I have a feeling I wont fall in love with it.

Anyone know of any droid quality phones coming on sprint?

i stopped by a sprint store yesterday and messed around with the phone for about 10 minutes. i went to best buy (for the instant rebate) but they didn't have any and said they might have them in a week. i ended up at a different sprint store and ended up buying it.

no gripes so far.

that sucks... see you live in Houston too! Guess the whole Best Buy route is out of the question... there is one near my work.. maybe they might have one.. its way out on the east side.

yeah, i went to the one near the galleria and called a few after the store didn't have it. i didn't call the one at gulfgate tho. i'd try that one.

otherwise, its available on their website with the instant rebate + free shipping.
no need to have to wait for the mail. i couldn't wait so i bought it.

Got mine yesterday too. Moving on from a Treo 755p. I've been a loyal Palm OS poweruser since the 90's.

I'm just utterly amazed at this phone. It's like everything palm users have been asking for ever since the birth of the Treo.

Let's face it Google is a powerhouse that's going to be around for a long time! Android OS will be a portal to the information that they are hoarding, and they're going to develop more technology for us to access it. I don't think any other company will ever come close unless they are willing to pay Google blood for it.

I have it. Picked it up at the Sprint store yest.

So far, I'm pretty pleased with it. I'd give it a solid "B". It does, and all android phones do, need refinement.

Gripe #1: Will not mount/tether to my windows 7 box. That's why i came to these forums, to see if there's a fix for this.

Gripe #2: The keyboard is too big.

Gotta little issue now. The screen is not coming up in the camera mode. Tried removing the battery and such. It will still take the picture but I have no idea what the pic will be like before hand.....

Edit: It has something to do with a "screen brightness" app that I downloaded....doesn't look like they are playing well together. Whenever I set the screen to max brightness via the app, the screen will not come up on the camera. ANything less than 100% and everything is fine.

Was beating down the door to the Sprint Store yesterday, could not wait for them to open. Been all over this phone, on the web, dloading apps, messageing... I love it!!! The ONLY problem I have with it is I can not seem to be able to access my Yahoo mail without useing the browser going to Yahoo => Mail => sign in ect... Kinda annoying... if anyone knows a way around this lemme know!

Mine was just shipped overnight and will be here tomorrow. Good riddance Windows Mobile 5!

My first-gen Q did serve me well for almost 3 years but the limitations of it have finally gotten to me. No touch screen, only 300mhz processor, 320x240 screen, maximum of 4gb storage, and all of the headache that comes from not being able to send MMS from a WM5 phone on Sprint. I got the Q first day it was out and ordered the Moment just the same. Fingers crossed I don't hate it in 2 years too.

I have a Pre, and have had it for three months. I love the multitasking, and GREAT email sync, but the screen is SO small. I had and Iphone for a while and even tried the Hero; I tried to love them both, but just cannot do with a touchscreen keyboard. I get angry at the very thought of using an onscreen and am nervous the entire time that I use it! On screen keyboards make me Tense!

Now for the Moment... Great phone. The best of all worlds; Large screen, an app for everything, Email sync (Not as good as the Pre), a great phone (calls are loud and clear), so so battery life (what smartphone excels in this area?), and a BIG BIG WIDE keyboard! I am over six feet and have big hands, and was really looking forward to the Big keyboard. But truthfully, it is just a little too wide, and the space key, as mentioned before, is a pain in the butt. Typing with one or both palms below the bottom of the keypad has made it a little more comfortable. I am certain i will adjust with time.

Otherwise, I love the Moment and only pray that it will eventually have 2.0!

I just made the switch from a Hero to the Moment, & I think I made the right move. Besides the battery drain issue with the Hero, I think the screen looks better on the Moment, there is less lag with the Moment, & the calls are clearer for me. Also, I never could send an MMS message with my Hero, even after installing Handcent.

The phone is a bit bigger, but I have big pockets. It is heavier, but not enough to sway me. I would be disappointed if 2.0 is not available for the Moment, but I think that is all speculation. With only 2 Android phones, surely Sprint will not make the Moment feel like the last kid picked in kickball ...

Switched. Returned my Hero today and got the Moment. I didnt have nearly the issues that everyone else was having with the Hero. Prior to a factory reset on the Hero, I had 65 hours of up time and was down to 8% awake time. So battery life was good. I really just didnt like the virtual keyboard. The only real issue I had was dust under the glass.

All that to say, Im pretty happy so far with the Moment. I dont have any worry about getting updated to 2.0, Sprint as all but come out and said the Moment would be updated.

I played with the Moment at a Sprint store tonight for 45 minutes and found the response and key spacing to be more suited to my chubby over-caffeinated, beer claws than the Hero's touch screen.

How are you guys doing with GPS reception? The Hero in the store found the location instantly, the Moment couldn't lock period. (Neither phone had been logged into the sprint nav app before.) A minor detail even if it never gets a loc inside, since it's pretty hard to ride the motorcycle indoors anyway...

Surfing seemed quicker than the Hero.
Camera worked better (for me anyway...)

After all the playing was 91.9% ready to pull the trigger tonight, not knowing the store was out of stock. V323i lives another day.
