Replacement for Google Play Music?!

For some reason Google decided to axe their Play Music app, assuring us that we can find "all the features we love" in the YouTube Music app. There's just one problem with that - YouTube Music lacks almost every single feature that Google Play Music had!

There is no way to search your own library, there is no way to view songs you have downloaded on the app alongside songs you stream. The functionality is completely unworkable and not a replacement for Google Play Music whatsoever.

Can anyone show me a way to still get Google Play Music or recommend me an app in which you can view songs added to your library from streaming alongside mp3's native to your phone?

I use BeatsMusic from LineageOS.. works wonderful and is a great no cost, ad free alternative to Play Music any day.

QQ Music does that, that's what I use sometimes, however it's only available here in China. If there's anything else, I don't know.

That's not a streaming service with a full library

Actually, it can stream.
I never used it for that, and no longer use it at all, but do remember that it had some way of streaming.

Anyway, what you are dealing with is what happens to the vast majority of folks that rely upon Google for anything.

I have heard of people losing their entire music collection, even paid for, because of this change.

It is just so much easier to keep my music on my device and never rely upon some cloud to maintain my collection.
