those people that stormed the Capitol are a basket of deplorables. talk about white trash!!!!!!

sure protest all you like....PEACFULLY!!!!!! but the moment you invade the house of the US Congress, you become un patriotic and your citizenship should be revoked IMO.

a woman died who was also trying to storm the building........she got what she deserved. but it should not have happened in the first place. this is all trump and his cronies fault. trump now has blood on his hands. that woman did not have to die like that. it is sad really.

and please do not attempt to bring up antifa. i saw some idiots claiming that this is all antifa disguising themselves as trump supporters. this is not true, so do not allow conspiracy theories to cloud your mind.

today what should have been a good day in which the presidency will officially be put down in the books as going to President-elect Joe Biden, turns out to be a day of embarrassment and sadness.

am i surprised this happened? nope. trump has been calling for this day for a while now. i hope that we all can now just ignore him for the next few weeks leading up to the Inauguration of Joe Biden. i hope he stays in mar largo and gulfs his way out the presidency, a job in which he clearly was in over his head.

Actually 4 people died: one woman was shot by security, 3 others died from "medical emergencies" (no further details available at present, not going to speculate).

Although our own cowardly clown in chief has been careful not to criticise those in high office who incited this (I'm using that wording because Trump wasn't the only one), I was surprised when our Home Secretary actually broke ranks and stated the truth that Trump had incited this - surprised because she has frequently used inflammatory language and has been accused of incitment herself. The question is whether she'll have the nerve to put her money where her mouth is, since she has the power to ban Trump from the UK (which a number of senior people have called for, and the people who live near his Scottish golf course would be very happy to see, since he's been an appalling neighbour, bullied residents and constantly broken agreements he's made).

I'd be wary of conspiracy theories and check sources carefully before posting. Anyone can add a tag to an image, and since that site seems to identify far right activists an image being tagged with their URL doesn't necessarily mean that it is their people in the photo.

What is certain is that many of the people involved in this have been identified as long-term right wing activists. This was not a false flag operation, convenient a story as that might be for some now.

And let's be very clear: Trump praised these people: he told them he "loved" them, that they were "special people", and said that they should "remember this forever". He supported the invasion of the Capitol, it's that simple.

i'm all for peaceful protests....i went to one in Beverly Hills.....it was great, no violence no idiots causing damages to local business. anytime you have local business like that burn is a travesty. i was there during the Rodney King Riots. i can totally say that the violence there had nothing to do with Rodney King. it was thugs taking advantage of the situation. and there is nothing new about the summer riots. it was the same shit......just thugs taken advantage of the situation.

but see, this is what trump wants. this is what putin wants. right now our adversaries are salivating at the idea of a torn United States. they want to divide us. keep us inflamed at each other. it makes us easier to control that way. Biden is right when he says that we should be united. Republicans and Democrats are Americans to the core. sure disagreements will arise but we still need to remember that we are Americans still.

it's sad but needed to be done that the US Capitol police chief resigned. somebody's head should roll for this fiasco. this could have been prevented if more proper planning was done.

and i'm still sad about the first woman that was killed though. i think she should have been punished, but i never wish for anybody to be killed. its just sad really. she has been brainwashed by trump. i mean she followed q-annon. she was a vet as well....totally tragic

yesterday was a very sad day for America.

the only good thing to come out of it was that Joe Biden is officially the president elect. and also Jon Osoff and Rapheal Warnock unprecedented wins in Georgia.....i guess it was a bittersweet day.

People need to ask themselves how an unarmed group can gain access to what should be one of the most secure buildings in america, without inside help.

Barracaids were removed for them and they were simply shown where to go. One doesn't simply leave a door open to the capital building.

Watching thes events on UK TV News (>1 channel) it looked like the 'security' inside the Capitol were either standing idly by, or in some cases actually helping/directing the mob. Did some idiot deliberately downgrade security ?
