Android 11 share menu

I've just received my android 11 update on a fairly new s20fe, I see you can now again pin apps the share menu but have a few questions.

1.Whats the point of being able to customise this if it's not the first menu you see (I'm guessing this menu is called quickshare or something similar?) - can this be turned if or customised?

2. Can we add specific contacts to any of the share menu? In droid 10 this was always bugged as it only ever showed me contacts that I rarely shared anything with instead of contacts that I share things with on a regular basis.

Well, as you scroll down the apps to the way you want to share something, you can long-press the app and select "Pin" - that should stick it on top. Then unpin it the same way from the top if you no longer want it there. I'm not sure about specific contacts, though...

Thanks for replying yes that works for the second tier menu but not the top on that appears in the first pic I added?

yeah so looks like the first part is what google suggests. there is no way to truly bookmark certain contacts that i can see. tbh i never really see the issue for me it has been quite easy just to hit the search icon and type in my contacts name.

Yeah it's a bit annoying and shortsighted tbh, way too many button pressed for something that could be much easier, search is an option but that is even longer winded and maybe won't give me the specific app I use for the specific contact, signal, WhatsApp, sms etc.
It feels like pushing a contact to front as a customisable feature should be intuitive.
At least if I could remove the first bar/popup that appears from the equation that would be a lot better is this possible?

Maybe move it to a cloud first, then share it locally? Sometimes the long way it is quicker.

Well much better then being the short cut though, you will only be a slave for about a minute, instead of a second

I can't see how bringing another step into the equation makes it better or faster.

Mmm.. only trying to save you some headaches. I know it sounds like bothersome, but it the least I can mustard at this time.
