So do you detox from different video games?

As "time trickles on by" Do you just stop playin a few at a time, then head back to what one you really, just did though, maybe it was a strange peeling back of these things, maybe it was another memory of another game you where playing, and you kind of look at things and go "huh did I ever play that in the past?"

I don't play many games at all.

I started out with Astronest- The Beginning.

I played the game dilligently for about 4 years, before the devs changed it so much all at once that it became obvious that there was no point in continuing on.

Many long time players felt the same way as I.

I still can't bring myself to uninstall it from one device, and I do still try to do meanial things each day to crawl forward a bit.

I still see no future for myself in the game, but it is very hard to let go after so long and so much mental energy put into it.

My progress is faithfully saved with Google Play, and so I can come and go with no loss of what I already have accomplished.

That is too bad, because at one time I was involved in another game (I can't remember the name now) that did not store your game progress to Google Play, and so after my device died and I did not play for a time, it was all gone and I did not want to start all over again.

At the same time as these other two, I started playing Narcos- Cartel Wars, and my game info is stored with Google Play.

So, now that is rhe one that I concentrate the most on now.

There are others that are not really interactive with others online- a car racing game, an airplane game, pinball, and some others like that.

Basically they are there for when I am in a waiting room, or whenever I am bored.

But I have made a point to not get involved in any more 'nation building' games, as they take up too much time and energy.

Not to mention how difficult it is to let go of them after I have invested too much time and thought into them already.

detox? no sometimes if the gameplay is long....like in the Elder Scrolls or Fallout series i get burned out a tad.....but i usually push on thru to finish the game. i have replayed games many times. sometimes for nostalgia, but mostly to try a different character or make a different choice to see if there is a different ending to the game.

I just sort of head into the game like around maybe four weeks alternation into different games, and yes I am including Rusty Lake, Little big planet, etc. and see on how super long fighting games can go through, there has been countless years, I had to pick up and just speed run against the clocks in certain unlockable conditions can do apply throughout different ways.

Knowing half of them is saved digital vs. on the disc, ergo the disc can be ruined if you did not pop open the tray just right, otherwise the light will become the scratch and over a vast amount of time, (i.e. UMVC saga) you have to play around oh maybe 500,000 hours to get the right card, little by little it just becomes overwhelming too.

Basically, you colonize, build, mine, and habitat Mars.

Anyway, I was a good way through it after about 3 weeks.

One day, in the middle of the game, an offer pops up. This is common in this game, as financial and social offers for your nation are your responsibility, and can enhance your nation greatly.

I chose to accept the offer, and the whole game crashed and started all over.

That was the end of that game for me.

i'm actually looking to play subnautica which is a survival crafting game. it looks pretty sweet. just need to decide it i want the ps4 console version or to play it on my computer or not. it has the potential to be a really long play.

Well to put it in my own mouth,
I try not to jump into them as much though, from time to time, I read the manual and different aspects into them,
about every so often.... I consider that a detox from them.
