It looks like Super Mario Galaxy 2 is going to be regarded as one of the best platformers, if not, the best platformer created for this generation.

I've read 5 reviews and basically none of them can really give any negatives to the game, besides it being a challenging (which can be a good thing). GameSpot gave it a 10/10, IGN gave it a 10/10, 1UP gave it an A, and so forth. It looks like so far the lowest score is a flat A.

I can't wait to play it on my Wii!

Ratchet and Clank on PS3 is a FAR better game than Mario, but the press love everything Nintendo and Mario, so it gets the love in reviews.

Have you played Super Mario Galaxy 2?

Also, from what I know, the gaming world has a slight to noticeable bias AGAINST Nintendo. There have been many instances of people making fun of Nintendo and just focusing on the Xbox 360 vs. PS3 battle. I've played both Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Ratchet & Clank series and give the edge to Super Mario Galaxy 2. The game is truly "out of this world". It's very challenging (R&C is not challenging at all), innovative, surprising, and nearly flawless. The level designs are just wonderful. Also, it is really an amazing-looking game on the Wii.

I stick Mario and Wii in this case myself, not because I have grown up with Nintendo and Mario games, but simply because what you can do in the galaxy games, the game designs itself, challanges and how they make the game go around.

At first I must admit I didn't like Mario Galaxy that much either, but then I started playing it again and found it to be a very fun way to kill time. Most of all it does what it have always done before the new game, they set a new standard for platform with each mario game they give out.

The other reason why I also hold Mario in high regard is this: They never rush the game at all, they always complete the game first and after that, they test it, test it even more and fix up the game. So when we play it, we play a flawless complete game that is polished. There is too few companies today that follow this policy, they make a game and even if its bugged they still release it. This is one of the reasons why Mario always have a place in my heart, since I know I will always get a fantastic game that will change the rules of any other platform games out there.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is an Incredible game. I love it, and I really don't feel like I'm just playing a rehash of the first game, but a whole new game entirely.

A lot of reviewers are praising the game, saying that it's even better than Super Mario 64. While the game IS awesome, I don't know if I'd go that far.

Either way it's a must play. If you have a Wii, you NEED to play this game. If you don't have a Wii...well there are some pretty awesome games waiting for you to play :)
