Hello All I am hoping for some help. I just got The Samsung Galaxy A13(will be a temp phone) and I was using a Samsung Galaxy S10E. I really need help with transferring an app that does not save progress as well as somehow the open tabs I have for Chrome and Dolphin Browser. Honestly if there is a way to clone the entire phone that will be great.

I didnt want to have to upgrade but I had no choice.

I am somewhat Cellphone smart if I have detailed instructions

Here is all the relevant info I have

S10E Android 12 its unlocked from carrier.
128GB

A13 5G
Andoid 11 Im not sure how to get that to Android 12 I just got the phone until I can get a S22 Ultra

I tried Smart Switch and it saved everything but when I try to transfer it to the new phone only some stuff transfers and i have tried many many tries. I tried wirelessly and with the cable.

is there any way I can get all my old phone content to the new one? im willing to try anything at this point just to keep my tabs and in progress coloring pics(there are a lot that were limited time.

A lot of what you want transferred is data for system-level apps: those included with the phone's operating system. This data is stored in Android's /system partition, not the /data partition where user apps & data are. The /system partition cannot be copied over, or cloned, to the new phone. The two are very different devices and will have different firmware, which is also in the /system partition. It would be a mess to sort out what can safely be moved without messing up something on the new phone... so mover apps like Smart Switch will generally not move anything in that partition.

If you have Samsung Cloud, you can try backing up your phone's data there and restoring it on the new phone: no promises at all that any of it will restore on the new phone. Or you can save all your stuff to Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or other cloud storage. For open tabs, you'll probably have to write down the tabs you have and open them again on the new device. Good luck!

Not sure what you mean by "saved" with Smart Switch, like saved to a computer or something?

When I used Smart Switch last year, it was direct phone to phone via WiFi. A Huawei Mate10 to a Galaxy Note20 Ultra, and it transferred everything, except the launcher setup. I had to do redo some app logins though, because of the change of device.

nope sorry there is not a complete transfer of data like that that i am aware of. only certain things gets transferred over with smart switch......and your tabs are only saved locally. why not just bookmark those tabs? bookmarks can be saved and transferred over to the new phone. plus having a lot of tabs open can really slow the phone down and drain your battery.

the only way to completely back your phone would be to root the phone and flash a custom recovery. with a custom recovery you can make a nandroid backup of the phone. now this is a complete backup of the phone specifically. and restoring a nandroid backup on a newer different phone can be bad as well. there is a possibility of going into the backup to extract what you want. but i have no guarantee that this will work on a different phone.....plus the new phone would have to be rooted as well.

Sorry by saved i mean when i start the smart switch and select to transfer all the files to the new one, it takes a while but even though it says all trasferred over they didnt. i tried via wireless and with the cord that was included

i can deal with the tabs not transferring just want to keep my pictures I have had to redownload them 4 times now and always lose a lot

Actually, cloning by definition involves an exact one-to-one transfer. There are basic hardware configuration differences between a Galaxy A13 and a Galaxy S10e so even if you could clone the internal storage of your A13 (you can't) to your S10e, the end result would be a non-functional S10e. The installed Android operating system on your old phone relies upon drivers, firmware, and software that work with the unique hardware configuration of your A13. Put that same Android install into your S10e and there would be missing drivers and firmware because the hardware configuration in your S10e is different. A lot of people mistakenly assume an Android install is the same as a typical desktop operating system where adding a new component just involves installing a driver/firmware, but that's just not the case. Basically, what you want to do transfer over all your user account data. Or in other words, your user account on your A13 is transferable, don't bother trying to transfer everything over to your new phone. So stop thinking in terms of transferring everything from your old phone to your new one, just focus getting setting things up using the installed Android OS on your new phone the way you want, and then transferring over your files and such. Try redoing your A13 backup so there's a new full transfer. then see if you can import that into your S10e after you've set it up accordingly.

thank you for the info, i didnt kniw that the a13 wont have andriod 2 yet but my S10E thats like 3 years old has it. i didnt want to change phone but had no choice because the S10E wasnt 5G. i am just going to color them on my old phone because the complete ones transfer but not the inprogress or bonus ones. thank you for explaining what would happen.

well the a13 just came out this month......right? it is bound to get android 12. but since this is a low budget phone for samsung i don't think it is their top priority to get it released to the phone. but it will most likely happen, maybe later this year or early next year.
