Help Can't add MAUI on the weather widget...

*Edit
Honolulu is your best bet for Hawaii cities. It's 85-90 and sunny darn near everyday.

Actually, temps of 85 to 90 are fairly rare here on Oahu. Most of the year we average around 80 to 83 degrees, but sometimes do get into the upper 80s, and even more rarely into the lower 90s. While we have sunshine 300+ days of the year, it can also rain at any time anywhere on the islands. It also depends on if you are on the windward side or the leeward side of the island. I have lived here on Oahu for more than 30 years. The quotes you often see for weather stats are "tweaked" for the tourism industry, and do not actually reflect the real weather here in the islands. Just ask anyone who spent their 5 day vacation indoors because it rained every day. FWIW, it can be raining hard in Waikiki, but be beautiful surfing weather on the North Shore. You'll hear a lot of misinformed generalizations about the weather here in the islands...you have to take them with a grain of salt. When here, enjoy your vacation, but please do yourself a huge favor and get out of Waikiki. Waikiki is the tourist trap of Oahu, and does not reflect at all what Hawaii is really like.

Dude Maui isn't a city. It's the name of the island.

Not true. Honolulu is on the island of Oahu (which is where I live), and the weather on Maui, the Big Island, Kauai, etc can be quite different. "MAUI" is an island, you can try for specific towns like Lahaina, Kahului, Kihei, etc. Those should come up just fine. Honolulu is not on Maui.

I know MAUI is the island, What I ment was that I could not add any cities from Maui specifically Kihei. I was able to add Honolulu, but Like NoNoBadDog said the weather can differ.

I traveled to Maui the day after the Incredible was released and did some island hopping with the same problem. The weather app worked great once I was actually on the island, but I couldn't keep track of weather on the other islands. I currently live in a city of almost 100K population on the east coast and it won't come up, so I guess they just have a limited database for the search function. Ended up connecting with some of the local radio stations on FB to keep up with the brush fires and was able to check the weather periodically by clicking through to their main websites. Not ideal but good enough.

On a side note, it was 70ish - 80ish all week long the first week of May and absolutely spectacular!

Has anybody tried Beautiful Widgets?
When you choose the "Beautiful Home" it gives you a nice (nicer than Sense in my opinion) Clock/Weather widget.

Anyway, under setup it gives you the option to enter the default zip for your home weather and the option to select "Geolocation" when you leave your home area. You can also setup refresh rates anywhere from 15 minutes to 16 hours.

When I travel for work I can wind up in some "less than metro areas" and it hasn't let me down yet...

I know that Honolulu is is not Maui (I have been to Hawaii several times and 4 of the islands). It is the only city in Hawaii (all islands) that I could find with the weather widget. This whole exercise is kind of pointless because weather can vary significantly even on the same island. I have been in rain on the north side of Maui and later in the day in the southern part of Maui it felt like a desert.

A more effective way of doing this would be with the weather channel app. I tried several cities on Maui and app found them all. You could have 5 different Maui cities on the home screen of the app :)

Well, I live on Oahu, and I get many cities. I live in Pearl City, work in Waimalu, shop in Mililani, go to Honolulu for entertainment, etc. All of those appear on my phone, and can be saved as one of my locations (actually, i Use Las Vegas, New York and Dallas, as I travel to those frequently). Not sure why you cannot get any city but Honolulu, but I assure you that all of Oahu exist in their database.
