Since I started the thread, I'll pose the first dilemma:

It is hot out, getting late, but I still deserve a treat. On hand I have mint chocolate chip ice cream (Breyer's) and yogurt. Strawberry-banana Yoplait and some Dannon strawberry with chunks of strawberries in the yogurt.

Weight is not an issue, since I am in pretty good shape and can eat ice cream just as easily as yogurt and not suffer the calories.

So which do I choose?

Since you are with the GF you might be like me and enjoy the occasional two or three boxes of fine wine.... Do you and your GF like to do shots? You could make up a drinking game to go along with UFC 2010. Chasers might help after a couple of shots!

I work for this guy (sorta) and he's kind of incompetent. He's a talented person, it's just that his methods... well they suck. When things are done the way he wants to do them, something important always ends up being really screwed up and it usually causes us a huge setback. Othertimes, it's apparent that he's made arbitrary decisions and we lose even more credibility for it.

Our boss knows nothing about what we do but takes this guy's side in most things (chain of command and all of that, besides going with what is reasonable would shake things up and that is not how he rolls.)

Shold I try to get around this guy or just show up, do my stuff, collect my check and go home?

Depends on what kind of person you are, and how sly you can be.

I am not suggesting this, but here is what I would do.

Personally, I would figure out all the guys weak points. Study them. See what's consistant. Then, slowly somehow "unintentionally" point out or let loose those same weakspots/mistakes to the head honcho. Sure it might tank the guy, but sometimes that needs to be done.
