As many of you know, I pre-ordered my phone the 1st day of the preorders.. Then I received a call that something happened and they couldn't find my preorder, so I had to preorder again... To make a long story short, I still haven't received an email validating that I had a preorder. I hear that everyone received an email for all the preorders. Is this true? Should I be concerned?

I originally pre-ordered via RS and never received a confirmation e-mail, nor was I told I would.

Call the store that you pre-ordered at to confirm.

How are you pre-ordering? Have you paid them money twice? Please clarify maybe I can help.

of course not. I only paid them once.. However, I had to redo all the paper work, and they use the 1st gift card to buy the 2nd gift card(so to speak) because they stated they received an email from sprint that they did something inaccurate.

When I did my pre-order the didn't mention anything about a confirmation e-mail about pre-ordering. The only thing the rep told me was to call June 1st or so to see if they would be opening early. If not then they would be opening at 9am (there regular hours). I believe it's only Best Buy pre-orders are the ones that get e-mails and phone calls to set-up appointment times. I would still call to confirm though.

Alright. My suggestion would be to go to the store and talk with a manager. Bring your receipt, giftcard, and paperwork. If still a no go, call Corporate.

i also pre ordered at RS last week. they said nothing about an email conf. He just marked down on the one paper what time i would come in to pick it up....then he just said "ok we will see you then" and that was it.

ok that's what happened to me.. I heard someon (on this forum) say they received an email.. also in that email with a $10 off coupon.. hmmmmm, maybe im mistaken.

I did not receive an email.

In fact, I don't even have a gift card because they were out. The store manager had already gone home when I came in but had some at his house. The employee who was doing my pre-order called him and got the SKU from one of the cards. We went through the pre-order paperwork, I paid my $50, and then he printed out a receipt that stated "gift card not issued". I called the manager the next day to ask if I needed to come get the gift card and he said, "No, the receipt is all you need".

Did you get a gift card or even a receipt? If so, then I wouldn't be too concerned. You can always call them and make sure. Seeing as they lost your first ore-order I think you are well within your rights to bug them until you feel good about it!

EDIT: OK, I just saw the other posts between your OP and mine (you guys are fast!). Good luck!

I received a generic Radio Shack e-mail blast, with a coupon for $10 off, yes. But that wasn't a personal "here's your Evo confirmation & a coupon" sort of e-mail. They just took my e-mail address from my application and slapped it onto their mailing list.

Same here.. They asked me if i would like a $10 off coupon and if so i need to give them my email address. I have a reciept that printed out (It's about 3ft long) that states all the stuff about my pre order

Visit the site address on your receipt and take the 5 minute survey. When you're done you'll get a printable coupon for $10. This is in addition to the $10 coupon they may, or may not (as in my case), email to you. A potential total savings of $20 in addition to the $20 accessory credit you'll get when you pick up your EVO. Can any RS employees confirm if I'm correct on this?

For people paying full price ($499), this comes out being only $10 more than if I went to Sprint ($449). Consider it paying $10 for a reserved phone and to receive your instant rebate. Damn good deal IMO!
