Hey guys

couple of questions regarding using the phone whilst its charging.

1st is I live on a boat, so i've always used my Omnia as my internet connection, never had a problem, leaving it plugged in, and tethering via wifi or usb cable, depending where i am....

So my questions are:

1. If i leave the Inc plugged into my laptop tethering via USB, will it still trickle charge, and will it last as long as its plugged in. (for around 5-8 hours a day)

2. If i leave the Inc plugged into my wall socket and use it for tethering via Wifi, AFTER ROOT (i know), for around 5 -8hours+ a day, will it harm the phone in any way?

3. Leaving you phone plugged in like on any charger, Wall Socket, Car, Computer whilst using it most of the time, Does it harm the phone or battery in anyway?

Reason I ask these questions, is most places I am, my laptop is, as I need it for work, and when I did this with my Omnia, people always told me I shouldn't do it, I've had my Omnia just over 2 years, and never once had a problem with it, and i've used it like mentioned the whole time...

So i'm just wondering how well the Inc will hold up..

Hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance..

*edit* oh btw, i have stock battery and a 1500 seido, phone still on its way

I keep my phone plugged in whenever I can. One problem though. After it charges up completely..the battery will discharge even though the light is still green.

I use batterytime to monitor my charge. When I unplug I see battery @ 100%. After a few minute it dips right down to the low 90s. The severity of the drop depends on how long you've left it on the charger after it has fully charged.

This happens with Usb and ac power.

Thanks for that info, thats ok, because it will be plugged in most times, and ill always carry a charger, I think my omnia did this too, maybe thats what people was warning me about.

Doesn't seem to serious tho, thanks
