Facebook: Every friend in Contacts

Hey I'm running 2.1 on my Sprint HTC Hero and I didn't have any problems syncing my contacts to their Facebook accounts.
My problem is, is that the phone took every friend off Facebook and put them in my contacts. How do I take that off. I don't need all 856 of my facebook friends in my phone. And to make it worse half of the numbers are like 1-800-Ask-Me. lol

Please Help.

Sorry for the double post*

But I un-checked the Facebbok line in people. That hides my Facebook friends not in my contacts from people. But now when I hit Phone instead of just showing my Contacts it shows all my Facebook friends. How do I fix that?

Based on what I've read (I haven't upgraded), you can hide Facebook contacts in People but not in Phone.

MENU-SETTINGS-ACCOUNTS & SYNC-under manage accounts delete you Facebook Account OR click on facebook and uncheck the sync contact option. That did not work for me though so I just delete FB. That is the only way I could get my FB friends out of my phonebook.

I honestly dont understand why they did this. On 1.5 You just synced the photo and bday of people in your phone book. Why does 2.1 do so much extra?

'Cause the idea of facebook was adding people that you actually know, unlike myspace, where you add any stranger as a friend just for the heck of it... Now facebook is becoming the new MySpace...
