Incredible slackin on benchmark??

...the Dinc will be the same as the N1 w/ 2.2 once it gets the 2.2 update.

Yeah this isn't quite accurate just yet. Wait till 2.2 comes out then do that same test. ;)

You misunderstood. The incredible will be at the top with the 2.2 update. The difference in speed is because of 2.2 vs 2.1 as you look at the chart and do research on it.

I had my Droid clocked to 1ghz and it still didnt compare to the DInc.

The 256MB of RAM is killing the Droid, that's why I'll be getting the Shadow when it comes out :D

Eventually you'll be able to OC the Snapdragons as well.

You already can, on the N1. Usually only up to 1.1GHz though, but some are capable of going up to 1.2GHz.

Really pushing the limits of the old 65nm chip already. The newer, 45nm revisions of Snapdragon and OMAP will be able to clock even higher (I'm expecting the OMAP in the Shadow to do 1.3+ pretty easy)

Yeah, I'm excited to see what the Samsung 45nm Hummingbird is capable of... that is if a Samsung phone ever gets rooted..

^if Motorola doesnt lock the bootloader ;)

Yeah, we can only hope they learned from all the angry Milestone owners. It's really a selling point for some customers, and those that don't understand it, won't be turned off by the fact that it is unlocked.

It's win-win!

The first thing people will do with a rooted Galaxy S is get rid of that awful, awful iPhone interface :D

How much faster than INSTANT can you get? The incredible is the first phone I have had that delivered exactly what I wanted. Speed. Why spend a bunch of money on a phone that will open an app 10000000th of a second faster?

Once HTC releases the incredible with a 4.3 inch screen on VERIZON I will consider making a change. Until then I golden.
