Hello forum members,
I have only had my new smartphone (HTC DESIRE) for 2 weeks now and have only today downloaded HTC sync onto my laptop.
My problem is this,
After downloading and installing HTC sync I can no longer connect to my wireless network from my laptop using WLAN but I can connect using the cable instead.
I was just wondering if anyone can help with this problem and give me some advice as to how to rectify it.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Allan

when i click to enable/disable wireless nothing happens.
The button light stays on regardless of wether its enabled/disabled and it is not showing any wireless points in range.
The light didnt use to stay on before.

Did you try the restore point (go back a few days/month)?

Don't usually use wireless on my PC prefer wired but i'm firing up the ol laptop now to see if i can help.

Do I really need the sync programme in the first place?
You only use sync for transferring contacts from outlook (I don't use that) and if you want to install applications from your PC to phone (this can all be done on the phone).

You can attach the phone to the PC as a storage device then copy over music/movies/photos etc without sync.

I don't use or need Sync

what folders do i transfer music to and can i just drag and drop?
I'm assuming you have a SD card installed?

There should be a MP3 folder, drag and drop to there.

I think the phone is actaully smart enough to pick any tunes that are on the SD card though, just don't think it tidy if you are a neat freak.

I am trying to do what you say NX but when i look on the phone there is no record of the file and i cant find it anywhere.
I am dragging and dropping in the mp3 folder on the phone....is this correct?

Does it appear on the card when you look on the PC?

You need to unplug the phone/cable to update the phone
