I found this on the Androidguys site which appears to show that the Galaxy S is a bit of a mover. The Galaxy is only beaten by a Nexus One running Froyo and the new Droid Shadow.

Except the Shadow doesn't have a snapdragon.

really?? shadow doesn't have snapdragon??? hmmm... maybe i misread about the shadow??? so it will have hummingbird also then?

AH HA!!! i found the article!! its OMAP which is better than snapdragon!!! nice~ but i still like the galaxy s better and that shadow looks like it was ran with android 2.2?? if it is... than that shadow phone is slow because it will lose to nexus 1 also!!! because in the article it said...
"Then again, the Shadow that was tested may have already been upgraded to Android 2.2, based on the suggestion that the PowerVR SGX 530 GPU in the OMAP 3630 supposedly found in the Shadow wouldn’t best the PowerVR SGX 540 GPU in the Galaxy S head-to-head on Android 2.1"

I have no idea on the tests and if it had 2.2 or not, but there's a lot more that goes into real world speed than the power of the processor. At least in regards to 1ghz vs 760mhz (or whatever the shadow is at). However, whatever the case is, I too still like the Galaxy S more. :) Now if I will get it or not really depends on whether Verizon gets it and soon. Which is looking less likely with all the Moto news :/

i agree it looks like Verizon is going to push the shadow first since they had big success with Motorola Droid.... i never liked motorola before until i saw droid it's a pretty dang nice device but i still won't get it because i had too many issues with motorola phones but they do look like a solid phone though oh shadow also looks nice but i rather get the galaxy S still... but too bad verizon is not going to get it anytime soon..... sucks...

OH~~ i thought xperia was running on 2.1 no wonder its so slow... but desire and incredible is slower because it's running on HTC Sense UI??

That's what it looks like to me but is that really how much extra processing power my sense UI is stealing from me?
I can't wait to get rooted and unlock all that potential.
Also with that much cpu going into the ui it must be using alot of battery.
