Hmmm from everything I've read it seems like everyone says the EVO's battery is crap when doing 4g. That's about the only thing I will agree with on. I'm still going to get one and I live in a 4g zone, but I don't plan on using it much.

To be honest I'm just buying the phone for the screen. My zune broke and I was forced to use my psp and I fell in love with the screen size. I think the EVO has the same size screen.

I don't talk on cell phones much (maybe 30 minutes a month). The rest of the time my phone will sit on my desk playing podcast and movies while plugged in to the usb port for power.

His review is fairly accurate and certain things were just opinions. Like his take on sense ui and what not. This phone is not as simple as an iphone. I have owned the iphone before and enjoyed it but got bored with it. If ur an iphone fan i see nothing on this phone that would make u wanna switch. Even tho i absolutely love it. The battery issue is gonna be the downfall of this device. U have to do to many things to this device to get optimal battery performance , and for your average consumer it isn't worth it. U buy a phone for all of its wonderful features then find out u have to disable and kill off half of them to get good battery life.

U buy a phone for all of its wonderful features then find out u have to disable and kill off half of them to get good battery life.

Every phone I've had the last 3 years can kill a battery in less than 4 hours with heavy usage. This is no more a problem with the Evo than it was for the others.
If you don't use it "responsibly" you won't get through the day or even 'till lunch.

It's a sticking point if smartphones in reviews but it won't be it's downfall, it's in it's nature

yuck..i think i just threw up a little...That was the most biased review..(well sort of review) I have read TO DATE...im EXHAUSTED now after reading that x.x...lol and if you read the comments ALL of them are hating on him....most actually have a valid point to which he just either uses sarcasm or shrugs them off.

I just read the entire review. I don't think it was that bad really.
I'd bet he has a bad app or is perhaps running something in the background like Pandora, does it bog down an Android phone the way it does my Pre?
That could explain why he says Sense, the camera and the battery life, is slow while everything we've seen shows otherwise.
He also has a great point on the keyboard, it's just plain awful IMO. 1st thing I'll change.

That review could be much worst if just a slam-job.

i was an iphone fan for the longest. G1 was too early of an android for me to jump on. Switched to a MyTouch 3G. iphone > MT3G, mainly because of hardware. Then I jumped to the nexus one. N1 pwns iphone. the only real advantage i see the N1 has over the EVO is its access to new android versions.

Sooooo....coming from a former iphone fan, EVO wins.
