Check for Gov't and Corp. discounts for Verizon

We got a monthly discount on our account because my wife works for the federal gov't. We had to have the account in her name to get it. Verizon Wireless has corporate discounts available, too. I don't have a list but you should be able to google it.

My discount applies to things on the primary line only (and share plans). For example, my data plan gets 20% off, but not my wife's. Also, equipment is not included on mine - not sure if any other discounts also apply to phones.

I get 18% off monthly access and 25% off accessories with a .edu email

With my Army email address I get:

15% off monthly access and 12% off features with my us.army.mil email

Which do you think is better?

Our Family plan has the Lockheed discount' basically, i was able to order my Inc. for $230 for a one year contract (after rebate). It definitely doesn't hurt to check with your employer to see if you get any discounts.

I just put it in to see what would happen if student had bigger discount then military, and i got email saying i could get discount with the 72 hour code.

Verizon knows military is big on communications since were always away from family and such, and then they dont hook us up, they hook up home depot more.. Worthless.

You do realize that VZW isn't offering employer discounts out of charity, right? Each company/organization needs to have established the necessary contractual relationships with VZW to offer its employees such discounts.

The U.S. Army provides plenty of business to Verizon.

Every Blackberry is on Verizon.

The hospital I work for gets 22% discount. Not sure how they came up with that number but I'm not complaining.

I actually work for Verizon Business and we only get a 20% discount (though I can't really complain- the rest of our benefits are fantastic).
