For some reason when trying to download an App from the market it just sits on "Starting Download..." even when connected to wifi etc. Its been like this for a couple of days now. I've tried everything but can't seem to get it working.
Anyone got any ideas?

I had that problem once when I removed one of the system critical apps after rooting my phone. Reflashing your ROM should do the trick. Unless you're on vanilla then I have no clue...

I've got the same issue. Last week I was in Android Market and I wanted to download a few applications, which just sit on Downloads. I tried it many times, no way. Then I made a few factory resets. Now I can even sign up with my ...@gmail.com account. Because of it I cannot use any Google related application such as Android, GMail or GTalk.

Any idea?

Having the same issue but can't seem to fix it. After various bits of Googling, I found this:

How to fix UK Android Market download and Gmail log-in errors | andrew | Google Android Blog)

Which suggests doing this:

So, I did that and it hasn't worked. Now I can't login to any Google account on my Hero using either username (@gmail or @googlemail); it says it ;can't establish a reliable data connection to the server' yet Internet is fine on phone and is connected to Wi-Fi connection. I have tried to find the option in Gmail on the Net to change it back to Googlemail (though I never actually actively changed it in the first place), but can't find it in the place the Google help tells me it is!

Any help or ideas that aren't a factory reset greatly appreciated people!

Thanks!
I'm in the same boat.
