download unsuccessful

I am having problems when i recieve a photo in a text message, sometimes it will auto download but then it stops after a couple of days and i just get a message saying download unsuccessful. I have taken it in and had the phone re set but i want to know if there is another way to fix this problem from happening i am tired of loosing every thing or not getting my pics.

Sprint is my carrier and i have an HTC hero phone.

What firmware are you on, 1.5 or 2.1?

1.5 I think. I have not changed any thing since I got it.

Gotcha. This, unfortunately, is a known issue with 1.5.

It is rumored that this has been fixed (I cannot confirm as I've never had this issue) with the most recent firmware update.

Warning though: Upgrading to this version of the firmware will erase EVERYTHING on your phone.


If you want to upgrade your phone and have it fix the issue you can take it to a local sprint store or do it yourself by checking HERE!

Once again, you will lose EVERYTHING on the phone, so be sure to write it all down or back it up.
