Shazam recently released a premium version for AU$5.99 for the iphone & updated their basic app to only allow 5 songs per month.

I'm not posting to be smug about it, I'm posting because they will likely do the same to us. So if Shazam push out an update for their Android app, make sure you check whether they added this limitation before you download it.

I upgraded today, and it gave me the paid version like promised.

You can check it by going to Settings -> Payment Status.

Just updated, still has my tags. I don't use it a lot so may never know if it's still unlimited for me!
I just wish they would fix it so it goes right to the mp3 store instead of the website.
The new version goes straight to the mp3 store for me. I just purchased a few of my tagged songs on the fly to test it out. Well it doesn't go the the mp3 app, so much as it seems to be built right in Shazam itself.

Is there a limit of 5 songs on the update? If so...I'll never update my version unless it expires!!!
