IPhone no longer comes with ear buds its a way they can make more money selling you stuff that you should have gotten in the first place.

No, the iPhone still comes with earbuds.

I loved my first gen iPhone, it even came with a dock and cleaning cloth.

The rest is stuff that I like to have CHOICE on personally I have earbuds already. I don't need another set thank you. Plus some go for el cheapo and some spend $100+ on some Goddamn earbuds lol. Whatever your choice.

It's like those infomercials, "But wait, THERE'S MORE!" I don't need 3 vacuum cleaners, plus extensions for the goddamn Sistine chapel and a key chain note reminder to go with it. You end up paying for all that in the end...it's not free.

I like choice...just give me the phone and the charger...thanks

They could do away with the printed manual. Put it on the memory card or just let us download it or have a good guide online that isn't a PDF. I learn more about a new device by reading forums before I get it. I'm sure I already know way more about the EVO than the guy at Radio Shack that will be selling it to me.

Also, those people who complain about the packaging being too plain, so what. They could put it in a brown paper bag for all I care. Just give me the dang phone!

I'll echo the "rather pay less" sentiment. Cutting down on waste and skipping the disposable plastic wrapping, multi-layered boxes, cheap headphones destined for a junk drawer, multiple manuals, and crappy clip or case that I will never use is fine with me. They save money, save us money, and leave less junk in drawers, on desks, and ultimately in landfills. I'm all about it. The fancy packaging only really counts the first time you open it anyway and at least for me, the phone sells itself.

also, its ******ed they dont launch these phones with the dock accessories out of the gate. one of the larger reasons i want android is for navigation and i cant even buy the dock with the phone. :C

Blackberry's come with a pretty nice case and a decent set of ear buds.

definitely, the leather case they gave me retails for 20 dollars, best included accessory ever
